STORMPROOF STEEL DOORS
As an alternative to timber, Premdor can supply steel or fibreglass faced doors, which offer excellent thermal and low maintenance benefits.
STORMPROOF STEEL DOOR SPECIFICATION
 24 gauge press moulded steel face.
Suitable for paint finish, supplied with pre-primed faces.
Timber internal frame.
Polyurethane rigid foam core for improved insulation efficiency.
Door thickness of 44mm (1 3/4").
STORMPROOF FIBREGLASS DOORS
Performance and insulation with the appearance of timber. Premdor Fibreglass doors offer superb resistance to impact damage.
Damage and dent resistant moulded fibreglass faces with oak grain textured surface.
Suitable for stain or paint finish, supplied with pre-primed faces in cream colour.
Timber internal core framing.
Polyurethane rigid foam core for improved insulation efficiency.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION
CONSTRUCTION
STEEL
The door is constructed with a timber frame surrounding a polyurethane rigid foam core. Press moulded steel faces are made from durable 24 gauge steel and primed using an electro-galvanising technique, ensuring optimum cover.
FIBREGLASS
The door is constructed with a timber frame surrounding a rigid core. Faces comprise of compression moulded fibreglass to provide a damage and dent resistant surface, the richly grained face design provides the appearance of a timber stile and rail door. Doors can be trimmed on site if required by 10mm on the stiles (evenly both sides), by 10mm from the bottom and by 10mm off the top rail.
FINISHING
Steel doors are suitable for paint finish. Fibreglass doors are supplied ready for on site painting or staining. The fibreglass faces are cream coloured on delivery and can simply be wiped down prior to finishing with a stain or paint. Full details about finishing are available on request.
GLAZING
Doors can be supplied factory glazed. Alternatively, if required they can be supplied with cassette only for site glazing. Double glazed units when supplied factory glazed in our doors carry a 10 year guarantee to meet the requirements of the NHBC. We welcome contract enquiries for bespoke designs of decorative glass. STORMPROOF DOORSETS
Steel & Fibreglass doors can be supplied within the Premdor Stormproof Doorset package. Stormproof Secure is available for 'Secured by Design' applications. Standard doorsets include: pre-hung fibreglass or steel door of your choice in a frame, ironmongery, glazing from a selection of designs. Doorsets can be customised with additional features as listed under the 'Options' section. For further information, contact Premdor for details.

Steel and fibreglass doors can be supplied as pairs. Please contact Premdor for more details.

OPTIONS
Fully-finishing.
Stormproof steel doors can be supplied fully finished in either Poppy Red, Buckingham Green, Oxford Blue, or White. Fibreglass Doors can be supplied with a 'deep grain' stain and varnish finish in either Mahogany, Medium Oak or Light Oak effect.
Pre-glazing.
Doors can be supplied with any one of the following glass types:
leaded decorative, screenprinted decorative, brass effect glazing bar design, etched glass, clear or obscure glass. Please specify choice by choosing relevant code.

GENERAL INFORMATION
GUARANTEES
Steel and Fibreglass doors are guaranteed for 10 years against manufacturing or material defects. Double glazed units when supplied pre-glazed in our doors carry a 10 year guarantee to meet the requirements of the NHBC.
Factory glazing is guaranteed for 10 years, meeting the requirements of the NHBC Buildmark scheme. This guarantee excludes temporarily glazed products such as direct glazed sidelights.
Ironmongery performance is guaranteed for 2 years.
WEATHER PROTECTION
To ensure door and frame provide adequate performance in exposed situations, it is recommended that a porch or canopy is installed. This is particularly critical with open in doors and pairs.
