Premdor offers a comprehensive range of exterior feature doors available in two specifications - Premium and Classic. PREMIUM FEATURE DOOR SPECIFICATION Traditional mortice and tenon construction. Solid ex 127mm (5") stiles for fitting of modern deadlocking systems. 'Naturally presented' durable hardwood or selected softwood materials suitable for finishing in a variety of decorative finishes. Hardwood doors have solid raised and fielded panels. Softwood doors feature over-veneered raised and fielded panels bedded in mastic. Suitable for 14mm double glazed units (unless otherwise stated). Glazing beads supplied as standard. Doors can be supplied pre-glazed (loose glass packs are not available). Door thickness of 44mm (1 3/4"). Substantial guarantees. Softwood doors are made in the UK. CLASSIC FEATURE DOOR SPECIFICATION Dowel and glued construction. Solid ex 102mm (4") stiles. Selected softwood materials suitable for paint or stain finishing. Over-veneered raised and fielded panels, bedded in mastic. Suitable for 14mm double glazed units (unless otherwise stated). Glazing beads supplied as standard. Doors can be supplied pre-glazed (loose glass packs are not available). Substantial guarantees. Door thickness of 44mm (1 3/4"). Made in the UK. STANDARD SPECIFICATION Premium feature doors are mortice and tenon constructed using ex 127mm (5") stiles, for rigidity and security. Classic Feature doors are constructed using dowel and glued assembly with ex 102mm (4") stiles. Panels are produced from either solid timber or exterior grade MDF and faced with veneer to complement the close grained timber used on frame members of the doors. Panels are raised and fielded on both sides and bedded in mastic to ensure resistance to water penetration. MDF panels on fully finished doors may be supplied without veneered facings at our option. Hardwood doors are ready for on site finishing which, due to the 'natural' finish of the durable hardwood timber, can be completed in a variety of finishes. Softwood doors are double vacuum preservative treated and supplied ready for painting or staining. Cottage door has over-veneered MDF centre panels routered to create the boarded effect. BEADING All doors are supplied with bead packs as standard. GLAZING SUITABILITY All feature doors are suitable for single and double glazing unless otherwise stated, in which case suitable for single glazing up to 6mm thick. Glass designs shown below are supplied fitted, loose glass packs are not available. Stiles: 92mm. Bottom rail: 183mm. Mid rail: 183mm. Dependent on style, doors measure 910mm from the bottom of the door to the top of the mid rail except Elizabethan (1116mm) and Acacia where height varies according to door size. STORMPROOF DOORSET Premium and Classic feature doors can be supplied within the Premdor Stormproof Doorset package. Stormproof Secure is available for 'Secured by Design' applications. Standard doorsets include: pre-hung Premium or Classic feature door of your choice in a frame, ironmongery, glazing from a selection of designs. Doorsets can be customised with additional features as listed under the 'Options' section. For further information, contact Premdor for details. OPTIONS Fully-finishing Hardwood - Mahogany, Golden Oak, or Teak stain. Softwood - Poppy Red, Buckingham Green, Oxford Blue, or White. Pre-priming. Pre-glazing - factory pre-glazing with double glazed units carries a 10 year guarantee to meet the requirements of the NHBC. Perforation for postal plates. Rebating for meeting stiles or water bar. Sidelight frames are also available. WEATHER PROTECTION To ensure door and door frame provide adequate performance in exposed situations, it is recommended that installation is within a porch or canopy. This is particularly critical with open in doors and pairs. GUARANTEES Guaranteed for 10 years against manufacturing or materials defects. Factory glazed doors carry a 10 year guarantee to meet the requirements of the NHBC. Factory glazing is guaranteed for 10 years, meeting the requirements of the NHBC Buildmark scheme. This guarantee excludes temporarily glazed products such as direct glazed sidelights. Ironmongery performance is guaranteed for 2 years. OTHER PREMDOR PRODUCTS Door frames. Face fixed weatherboards.
