Moulded panel doors available with a choice of core specifications. Options to suit all projects and budgets, including performance rated fire doors. Quality moulded panel facings. A comprehensive range of designs and sizes which includes mobility and fire door options. Matching bi-folds are also available. White base coated faces. Made in the UK. STANDARD SPECIFICATION CONSTRUCTION Masonite moulded panel doors incorporate quality facings to offer excellent appearance and performance. All door faces have a white base coat ready for prompt on site finishing and are shrink wrapped for extra protection. Please note that base coat and priming do not seal the door fully against moisture penetration on site. STANDARD HOLLOW CORE Economy core specification, with single lock block, for light duty applications. SEMI SOLID CORE Optionally, doors can be supplied with a semi-solid core (in the sizes shown only) to offer a heavier feel to the door, with wider stiles and rails and additional core components. SAFE'N'SOUND A solid core specification, in a standard thickness door, offering a substantial feel and two valuable advantages: 1) Improved fire resistance: although not a fire door (Safe'N'Sound should not be installed where a fire rated door is required), due to its solid construction, tests indicate that the door can contain a fire for more than twice as long as a standard hollow core moulded panel door. 2) Improved sound reduction: in tests it has been demonstrated that Safe'N'Sound makes a real difference in reducing sound transmittance from one room to another. FIRE DOORS All Range Guide fire doors are compliant with British Standards and the BWF Certifire Scheme. See relevant Premdor data sheet for more details if required. Fireshield: FD30 rated, when hung in appropriate frame with intumescent strips in jambs and head, or top and long edges of the door. Pairs of Fireshield doors include intumescent strip to each leaf at the meeting stiles. Firemaster: FD60 doors available to order. MOBILITY DOORS This range includes doors of relevant width to comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations Part M. PAIRS Pairs of doors are supplied rebated at meeting stiles, and open right hand pull first. FINISHING Two, four, six panel smooth and six panel textured are recommended for paint finish only. All other designs are suitable for paint or stain finish. DIMENSIONS Door thickness: Fireshield: 44mm (1 3/4") Standard imperial doors: 35mm (1 3/8") Standard metric doors: 40mm Lock block located on one side of door. Bi-fold sizes shown are nominal sizes. Although door sizes are slightly smaller to allow for door gear and opening clearance. DOOR WIDTHS Please note that due to the narrow width of the doors, six panel smooth and textured doors in 526mm, 457mm (1'6") and 533mm (1'9") have only three panels. Four panel smooth and textured doors in the same sizes have only two panels except four panel smooth 533mm (1'9") which has a restricted stile width four panel design.
