STANDARD SPECIFICATION
HARDWOOD DOORS
Manufactured from hardwood with dowel and glued construction. Doors are base coat stained for sealing and finishing on site in paint or stain.
SOFTWOOD DOORS
Using selected softwood timber with dowel and glued construction (D&G) or mortice and tenon (M&T) construction. Doors are pre-vac preservative treated and guaranteed for 30 years against fungal attack and rot. Premdor does not recommend finishing these doors with stain because framing may not match ply panels and finger jointed components may be used. Ply panels on 2XG are 6mm thick. Stable door centre panels may be constructed from MDF, routered to create the boarded effect.
GLAZING SUITABILITY
All panel doors (except Stable) are suitable for either single or double glazing. Stable is only suitable for single glazing up to 6mm thick.
Panel doors can be glazed with either clear or obscure safety glass. Factory pre-glazing with double glazed units carries a 10 year guarantee to meet the requirements fo the NHBC. Factory sealing methods ensure water penetration is eliminated.

BEADING
All products are supplied with beading packs as standard.
PAIRS
Pairs of doors are supplied rebated at meeting stiles with weather seal fitted, and open right hand pull first.
FINISHING PLEASE NOTE
Hardwood panel doors are suitable for paint or high build stain. By popular choice Hemlock panel doors are often stain finished on site, however, as ply panels may not match timber framing, and visible finger joints may occur, this type of decoration may not achieve a satisfactory finish. The use of paint finish is therefore recommended.
WEATHER PROTECTION
To ensure door and door grame provide adequate performance in exposed situations, it si recommended that a porch or canopy is installed. This is particularly critical with open in doors and pairs.
GUARANTEES
Panel doors are guaranteed for 10 years against manufacturing or materials defects.
